About Me
Product Strategy Leader
I care deeply about how teams feel when they work together.

Not in a “corporate values poster” way, but in the real, everyday sense. The meeting where someone finally feels safe enough to say, “I don’t think this is the right problem.” The moment a product manager admits “We don’t actually know if users want this.” The executive who says, “Okay, walk me through it.”

That’s where good strategy lives.

I’ve spent over 15 years working at the intersection of product, program leadership, and design strategy, but what I really do is help teams think more clearly. I ask uncomfortable questions (kindly). I turn messy debates into structured decisions. I translate ambiguity into a plan people can rally around.

And yes, of course I bring frameworks. I bring structured models. I bring the polished presentations and insights. But more importantly, I bring creativity, energy, humor, and momentum.

If you’re looking for a pixel-perfect UX designer, you’ll get KidPix from me (the sound effects were elite though). If you’re looking for someone to help your team solve the right problem then that’s where I thrive.

How I Show Up
I’m the person who:
-
Will challenge your assumptions, but never your integrity
-
Can walk into a tense room and lower the temperature without lowering the standard
-
Believes structure creates freedom
-
Uses the occasional well-timed GIF to reset the energy in a long meeting
-
Thinks the best ideas often start as half-baked thoughts someone was brave enough to say out loud

I love building systems. But I love building confident teams even more. And I genuinely believe there are no unsolvable problems, there are only problems that need reframing, decomposing, or deprioritizing.
Sometimes the bravest strategic decision is not “How do we fix this?” It’s “Should we be solving this at all?”
My Leadership Style
I lead with clarity and momentum.

I don’t micromanage, I zoom out. I help people see the bigger picture so they can make strong decisions without waiting for permission. I believe in accountability, but I don’t believe burnout is a badge of honor. Sustainable teams outperform heroic ones. I’m direct, but not sharp. I’m optimistic, but not naive. I move fast, but strategically, not recklessly.
I bring a mix of:
-
Strategic depth
-
Calm under pressure
-
A little bit of sass when it’s needed
-
And a relentless focus on solving the right problem

At American Airlines, that meant balancing innovation with operational realities at scale. At Duke Energy, it means helping complex portfolios move from fragmented discovery to shared clarity. Across roles, the throughline is the same: I make better decisions easier, and I make it easier for teams to make them together.
Why People Like Working With Me
Because I bring both the big picture and the whiteboard.
I can see where we’re headed three moves from now and I can break the work into milestones that make sense on Monday morning. I’ve been told I have a way of turning complexity into usable tools, not just impressive slides.
Because I keep things human.
I take the work seriously, but not myself. Even tough projects can feel energizing when the room feels safe, focused, and occasionally reset with a well-timed joke or GIF. I challenge assumptions without challenging integrity and I push for users without creating friction.
Because I don’t let teams sit in ambiguity.
When things get messy, I organize. I map the chaos. I help teams separate signal from noise and make confident decisions. I bring clarity, momentum, and a steady belief that we’ll figure it out.

And maybe most importantly:
I bring the optimism, but with a healthy dose of strategy strategic. Not every problem needs solving; sometimes it’s just not the right journey for us right now.
If you’re looking for someone who can help your team think better, decide smarter, and make the journey a little more fun, that’s where I shine. At the end of the day, I make clarity contagious.
Professional Background
2022 - 2026
Senior Design Strategist
Duke Energy
Remote
At Duke Energy, I serve as an embedded Design Strategist across complex IT and legal portfolios. My work centers on building decision infrastructure, introducing upstream intake processes grounded in desirability, viability, and feasibility; synthesizing research into portfolio-level insight; and facilitating cross-functional alignment around ambiguous, high-impact challenges. I help leaders move from fragmented discovery and assumption-driven prioritization to shared, evidence-informed decision-making. Whether through structured workshops, research synthesis, or portfolio framing, my focus is consistent: align business goals, user needs, and technical constraints to reduce churn and increase clarity at scale.
2012 - 2022
Product Manager/Owner
American Airlines
Fort Worth, TX
At American Airlines, I led enterprise product and program initiatives at the intersection of innovation, operations, and customer experience. I partnered closely with executives, managed multi-million-dollar portfolios, and delivered scalable solutions in high-visibility environments. I also spearheaded NorthStar, an employee ideation platform piloted within the Integrated Operations Center, and partnered with Emerging Technology to formalize business engagement in HackWars. These efforts reinforced a core belief: innovation thrives when creativity is paired with structure, funding pathways, and executive alignment.
2010 - 2012
Team Leader
American Express Business Travel
Phoenix, AZ
At American Express, I began my leadership journey by building and coaching high-performing teams supporting Fortune 500 clients. I was promoted quickly, not because I had all the answers, but because I learned how to earn trust. I led with empathy, clarity, and accountability. I held high standards, and I showed up for my team when the pressure was real. This role shaped my people-first leadership philosophy: when teams feel trusted, supported, and clear on the goal, performance takes care of itself.
